Life Force Energy

There is a subtle life force energy that animates all living creatures and even connects us to one another, and to the world of energy and "non-living" matter.

Different cultures and organization have different names for this life force.

• Thousands of years ago the Vedics called this life force prana.
• Japanese arts such as Aikido and Reiki call it ki.
• Taoists call it the void, or the tao.
• Chinese medicine uses the term chi.
• Scientists refer to the phenomenon as the unified field.
• Christians call this force the holy spirit.
• The names are not important.

Call it what you will, but this life force exists at a subatomic level. This means when we pass "below" the level of atoms and protons, we find wavelengths of pure energy that flow into and through all form, all sound, all light, all space, and all time.

We are all connected through this field of infinite energy that is the basis of everything in our universe.

And the chakra system can be viewed as a way our individual minds and bodies are "plugged in" to the greater life force. Our energy meridians flow from the great source in the same way rivers, stars, the wind, and all other energy moves along the natural order.

Why should you know this, and what does this information mean for your daily life?

To be honest you can forget everything you read on this page and your life will be pretty much unaffected. Acknowledging the basic life force can help you as you study the chakra system and develop your meditative mind, but it's not required if you simply don't want to go there at this time.

Personally, I enjoy this subject very much. I find it very empowering.

"The kingdom of God does not come with your careful observation, nor will people say "here it is" or "there it is", because the kingdom of God is within you."
